Pergola, Gazebo, Shed & Playset Assembly in Los Angeles
A gazebo kit arrives on a pallet in the driveway. Six hundred pounds of aluminium, a hundred-page manual, and a note that says two to three people required. That is the point where most people call us.
ClickFit CA builds outdoor structures across Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley: pergolas, gazebos, sheds, playsets and patio covers. We work from the manufacturer’s kit or from plans, and we anchor everything properly so it survives a Santa Ana wind.
What we build
- Pergolas and patio covers — aluminium, steel and wood. Freestanding or attached to the house.
- Gazebos and hardtop pavilions — including the heavy Costco and Yardistry units that genuinely need a crew, not a weekend.
- Sheds — resin, steel and wood. Lifetime, Keter, Suncast, Arrow, Handy Home. Floor kits and shelving included if they came in the box.
- Playsets and swing sets — Backyard Discovery, Gorilla, Lifetime and similar.
- Greenhouses, carports and storage boxes — if it ships flat and goes in a yard, ask us.
Kits or plans — we do both
Most jobs are a boxed kit from Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Amazon or a direct-order brand. We have built the common ones many times and know where the instructions are wrong.
We also build from plans and loose material when there is no kit. Send photos of what you have and the plan or manual, and we will tell you what it takes.
Anchoring and levelling
This is where most backyard structures fail, and it is the part people skip.
On an existing slab or deck. We anchor into concrete or decking with the correct hardware for the surface.
Into soil. Ground anchors and stakes, using the hardware supplied with the kit. We do not auger holes or pour concrete piers — if your structure needs engineered footings, that is a concrete contractor’s job and we will say so upfront.
Levelling. Few Los Angeles backyards are flat. Hillside lots in Silver Lake, Los Feliz and the Valley foothills almost never are. We shim and level so doors close and the roof sits true.
A pergola that is only resting on pavers is a liability in wind. If your kit came with anchors, they are there for a reason, and we will use them.
Permits — please read this part
We do not pull permits, and we are not permit consultants. Arranging any required permit is the property owner’s responsibility.
Whether you need one depends on the size and type of structure, whether it is attached to the house, and your specific city and lot. Los Angeles, Burbank, Glendale, Beverly Hills and West Hollywood all have their own rules, and HOA rules can be stricter again.
Check with your city’s building department before you buy a large structure. For the City of Los Angeles that is LADBS. It costs nothing to ask and it is far cheaper than taking something down afterwards.
How it works
- Send us the details. Model name or a link to the product page, plus a photo of where it is going. That is usually enough to quote.
- Fixed price before we come out. Quoted per structure, not by the hour.
- We build it. We bring our own tools, level and anchor the structure, and check every fixing before we leave.
Pricing
Outdoor structures are quoted individually. A resin shed and a twelve-by-twenty hardtop pavilion are different projects, and anchoring into soil is not the same as fixing to an existing slab. Send the model and we give you a number.
Where we work
Los Angeles, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Burbank, Glendale, North Hollywood, Van Nuys, Encino, Pasadena, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Santa Clarita and the surrounding areas.
How long does a playset take?
A mid-size wooden playset is usually a full day with two technicians. Small metal swing sets are faster. Large hardtop gazebos can run into a second day.
Can you assemble it if I have not bought it yet?
Yes, and it is worth asking first. Send us the model you are considering and we will tell you what assembly involves and whether the site works.
My yard is on a slope.
Common here. Tell us when you book and send a photo. Sloped sites need levelling and sometimes a different approach, which changes the quote.
Do you pour concrete or dig footings?
No. We anchor to existing slabs, decks and pavers, and we use the ground anchors that come with the kit. Concrete work is a separate trade. If your structure needs poured footings, get those done first and we will build on top.
What about the old structure?
We can take down an existing shed, pergola or playset, and we can haul the debris away. Both are quoted separately from the new build — ask for them when you request a price.
Do you work weekends?
Yes. Seven days a week, 8am to 9pm. Outdoor work usually starts early in summer.
